介绍美国从上世纪初到80年代的Jazz音乐发展﹐一连十集﹐1200分钟.节目是各位响当当的爵士乐手/歌手的珍贵演出片断及照片﹐还有大量的访问，种族隔离，各种审查制度的影响十集.1200分锺由Ken Burns 操刀﹐集合了75个珍贵访问.500段音乐选段2400张照片加上2000条影片﹐以6年时间制作。使到笔者接触爵士乐多年来首次欣赏到 Artie Shaw﹑Benny Goodman﹑Glen Miller﹑Billie Holiday 等的演出片段.
